Sharleen Maharaj
Associate Development Manager
Sharleen joined the New Ground Capital team drawn by the company's commitment to creating high-quality, thoughtful residential communities. Bringing a sharp technical eye and project management expertise to the development team, she supports New Ground's Development Managers across the full project lifecycle.
With a degree in Engineering and Commerce and almost a decade of experience in civil engineering and project management, Sharleen is well placed to bridge technical and commercial considerations on the projects she works on. She has a strong track record of balancing the competing interests of large and complex stakeholder groups, while keeping key project outcomes front of mind. Outside of work, Sharleen enjoys exploring outdoors and keeps busy as a mum to a toddler, a baby, and a very energetic dog.
A keen interest in build to rent and impact investment led Sachin to join the New Ground team. Having spent multiple years during and after his studies with a privately owned New Zealand developer, Sachin brings a varied set of experiences and skills through involvement in a wide range of projects spanning residential and commercial assets as well as retirement villages.
He holds a Bachelor of Property and a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Auckland, with majors in Accounting and Economics, having graduated in 2021.
Away from the office, Sachin enjoys playing football and golf, and finding the latest new spot in Auckland’s dining scene.
