Welcome to our new Chair!

I’m absolutely thrilled to announce that Joy Marslin — who has supported New Ground’s growth as an impact investment manager since 2017 as both a shareholder and adviser — has now agreed to join our board as Chair.

Joy brings exceptional leadership and governance expertise, with a distinguished career spanning financial services, investment, and strategic advisory. She has held executive roles at Westpac, ANZ, and the National Bank of NZ, is a current director of NBS, NZ Shareholders Association, Strategi Group, and FSCL, and was previously a director and Chair of Simplicity KiwiSaver from December 2016 to June 2025.

Joy’s experience and energy align perfectly with our mission to deliver innovative investment solutions that create social and environmental impact alongside strong returns.

I’ve had the privilege and pleasure of working closely with Joy across several organisations since as far back as 1989, and I’m excited about the journey ahead under her board leadership.
