Mt Albert Build to Rent Housing Development

New Ground is excited to be getting underway with a new Build to Rent housing development in New North Road, Mt Albert, Auckland. This development, will deliver 44 new high-quality purpose-built rental homes, in one and two bedroom configurations, and 34 car parks.

We’ve been searching for the right site for purpose-built rental housing within the Mt Albert \ Owairaka area for several years, so we’re pleased to have now secured this site at 1088 New North Road from Kainga Ora, being so close to the services and transport options offered by the Mt Albert town centre.

We’re also very pleased to be working once again with our iwi investor partners, Hapai Housing LP, on this rental housing development. Hapai have now taken over ownership of the development, which they have named Kaweka, and New Ground will maintain responsibility for management of the development and the ongoing property management aspects of the project on their behalf.

Civil works will start in early June 2022, and Mike Greer Commercial expect to be completing construction progressively between late 2023 and early 2024.
